King Petar I Karadjordjevic
King Petar I Karadjordjevic was the fifth child of Prince Alexander. After the assanation of Prince Mihailo Obrenovic in 1868, Obrenovic dinasty included paragraph which prohibit the members of Karadjordjevic family from returning to Serbia. In 1903 a group of Serbian army officers assassinated King Alexandar and Queen Draga Obrenovic and proclaimed Prince Petar Karadjordjevic, then living in Switzerland as the new King of Serbia.
