Raska
The basin of Ibar is called also the Valley of Centuries or the valley of Kings, because it represents the heart of medieval Serbian state. In its' basin lie the most sacred possessions of Serbian people, monasteries Studenica, Zica, Djurdjevi Stupovi, Sopocani, and the entrance to the valley is still guarded by the fortress of Maglic.
Ibar is enclosed by mountains on both sides. On one side it is “The roof of Serbia”, national park and ski center Kopaonik, and on the other side is Golija acknowledged by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reservation.
