Lazarica Church
Lazarica church is situated in Prolom village 2,4 km away from the centre of Prolom Banja. The church was built in 1890, and it is the only log church in region. According to a traditional legend, a part of Serbian Princ Lazar’s army took their communion prior to the famous Battle of Kosovo in 1389.
The six intertwined plum trees in the Lazarica Church yard represent an unexplained natural rarity. The legend has it that Princ Lazar’s soldiers went round the church for six times prying for victory in Kosovo, and the trees intertwined in the direction of their movement. Old plum trees disappeared but new ones grew and intertwined, but there have always been only six of them.
