Sokobanja Spa
Sokobanja (Сокобања) is one of the most popular spa resorts in Serbia. It lays on the river–banks Moravica between mountains Rtanj and Ozren. The center of Sokobanja is placed around the old construction: the beautiful 16th-century stone Turkish baths (hammam) that is still in use. The spa is surrounded by nicely picnic areas: medieval towns of Sokograd, Bovansko lake, beaches on the Moravica river, the spring of the Moravica river, Mount Ozren, Ripaljka waterfall, numerous caves, Mount Rtanj.
For the recreation of guests there are a swimming pool with thermal waters, a gym, a sports hall, a table tennis hall and a football court at hand.
Medical indications: bronchial asthma, minor forms of hypertension, chronic hepatitis, psycho-neuroses, chronic rheumatism, chronic rheumatic illnesses, sciatica, conditions after injuries. Special hospital for lung diseases is located on Ozren mountain.
