Tekija
Tekija is a place with around 1000 inhabitants, situated along the bank of the Danube , on green slopes of Miroc. The oldest houses are only 30 years old since the building of a hydroelectric power station sank the old Tekija. Today Tekija is famous for its tourist – fishing manifestation "Golden bucka" and a few thousands of fishermen, beer drinkers, fans of fish soup gather here.
Due to its beautiful hollows, the nearness of Trajan`s board (8 km upstream), hills from which one can admire in lake Djerdapsko, Tekija, situated in the most beautiful part of a national park, represents one of the most pleasant place on the Danube.
