Stara Pavlica

To the mysterious monastery of Stara Pavlica, whose origin is still not known for sure, leads the road Raska - Kraljevo. The village Brvenik is situated ten kilometers away from Raska, and there is big crossroad. To the left is the road to Golija and monastery Gradac and to the right is the road to Stara Pavlica. After few kilometers, on the left side of the road lies the monastery of Nova Pavlica, and few hundred meters further, on the promontory above Ibar are the ruins of Stara Pavlica. The builder and the time of construction are not known, but certainly it can be dated prior to the XIV century. It represents the unique example of Serbian medieval architecture.
